About
Costa Rica
Costa Rica is about half the size of the state of Kentucky and slightly larger than Switzerland. But unlike those land-locked destinations, Costa Rica has two coasts, which means that there are ample marine attractions to complement its terrestrial assets. Most of the country’s 755 miles of coastline is on the Pacific side, where three peninsulas add to its contours and frequent rocky points divide into countless beaches. The Atlantic coast is comparatively short with remarkably straight palm-lined beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. The country's topography also lends to a diversity of experiences: from the busy city center of San José, to Lake Arenal and the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve in the north, and the Pacific coast's beaches and rainforests to the south. Characterized by these beaches, volcanic mountain ranges, rivers and valleys, Costa Rica presents all the ingredients needed to create outstanding teambuilding and themed events. Activities can range from soft to hard adventures, from mangrove cruises to white-water rafting. And, imagine not having to recreate a rainforest theme for an indoor event, but instead having the ability to have the actual event in the rainforest!
Accommodations and amenities in this Central American destination have been described by some as eco-luxury. The jungle/beach paradise boasts some of the region's leading hotels, with properties making Travel+Leisure's 500 and Condé Nast Traveler Hot List for 2007.
