Remember the days when we stood in awe of pilots walking through the airport (Leonardo di Caprio took us back briefly in the film Catch Me If You Can). Well, Unica Home has replicated the original Pan Am bag to remind us of the days when we would get playing cards, swizzle sticks, wings from the pilot, and yes, food on our flights.

Cross-Cultural Communication Tips & Comments
Where PDAs are Taboo
No, I am not talking about your handheld personal digital assistants, but rather, your public displays of affection. By now you must have heard about actor Richard Gere landing in hot water in India after kissing the hand and face of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. In fact, there was a warrant issued for their arrest due to the incident. In several cultures such as Indian and Japanese, kissing is restricted to very close friends and family or simply behind closed doors. Certainly, there are a few other cultures in which kisses are exchanged among business acquaintances once a relationship is established. The handshake however remains the most appropriate form of greeting upon meeting someone. Americans, Germans, and Australians welcome a firm handshake, while the French and Japanese might greet you with a light handshake. Expect your Middle Eastern guests or colleagues to continue shaking your hand throughout the greeting.
